I’ve just ordered my sons first drysuit and we’ve gone for a 4mm compresses neo suit - I’ve not dived a neo suit for a LONG time and have used trilam (TLS350) with DUI 400g thinsulate and polar tech fleece undersuits for years... we’ve gone for neo for a number of reasons, but that’s another story...

He’s going to be diving year-around with me from the new year; so what are the best options for undersuits under a compressed neo suit???

I am going to get him some thin merino base layers but what should I look at for the main undersuit?

    TIA !

I use o three pbb extreme under my ri-200 all year round. I vary the base layer to suit the water temperature and in summer I ditch the jumper and just use a merino top.

    Similar, yes.

The O'Three PBB Extreme or Fourth Element Xerotherm Arctics would be my choice.

Same sort of material, but the PBB has salopettes instead of trousers, so you've a double layer over your core. Great in winter and why I don't need the jumper in summer.

Otter do a set that's similar to the fourth element, polar D I think.

The otter polar D one looks just the thing at the right sort of price - their XS sizes should be ideal for the little dude

Prob not much help to you, but with my 5mm non-compressed suit I use the O3 PBB+ undies. No complaints about them, shame same can't be said of the suit though.

@Demmy what age/size is your son?
I have a small set of FE Arctics that may be surplus to requirements.
