Or better yet - just make a decision and stick to it and sod the ones doing more interesting things elsewhere

Anybody joining us in NDAC next weekend - Sat 6th?

    Anyone staying overnight?

Any preferences for diving? Bimble? Deep?

Nah, clashes with the Ghost Fishing weekend in Portland which will see me dive a twinset for the first time since 2010!

@jps: excellent. Glad I'm not diving alone! Interesting logo BTW.

@Dave Whitlow - I could lend you my sidemount kit if you want a real larf! What's up with your box? I nearly bought a classic the other day!

Ghost Fishing UK are asking all people to dive OC to simplify protocols. It just makes it easier with mixed teams ands insta-buddies.

Enjoy, can't make it this year. New house will be 1hr 40m from Stoney, so a reasonable day trip.

I’m crying off unfortunately. Got laid up with flu over Xmas and it’s settled on my sinuses.
Have been snorting salty water for about a week now but to no avail, even missed my club’s Xmas dive last weekend...
Enjoy, I’m itching to get back in the water

Ah, British winter diving. Early start in the dark, long drive, and a cold wet car park to change in...

Hope everyone feels better tucked up under the blankets!

    Will be there around 0830

    +1 for heated suits!

-999 for think gloves on Kubis that tear

Had fun on the second dive in my sidemount kit. The RH SPG decided to blow an O-ring so had all the benefits of feathering the RH valve to use the suit inflate. Pondered thumbing the dive, but with two fully independent cylinders, I'm still diving with a fully working LH side.

Warmer than Vobster at 8 degrees.

Hope the ghost fishing expedition went well.

Better than staying at home as you got wet ;)

Thanks. Yes, contrary to expectations, the Ghost Fishing dives ahead yesterday and four boats loaded with divers charged across Portland Harbour to deposit their load on the wrecks and bring them back to the Marina. The visibility was measured at 2.1 - 2.3m and the water temperature was 9c. The wind blew up a bit later but it went pretty well to plan and, apart from those with drysuit fails, everyone had two pleasing dives.

For me it was good a success too as, after spending a while reminding myself how a twinset works, I completed my first twinset dives since 2010 without feeling, or looking, like a numpty! I guess, like riding a bike, some things just come back as required :)

My Kubi experience, with Santi heavy duty gloves, was somewhat different to yours and the Light Monkey Heater Base kept me feeling toasty :)

On Sunday a cold north-easterly gale made diving from Portland impossible and dry demonstration and a social day was had. All things considered, a successful weekend.
