Greetings forum. (posted as a sticky so its on the Adds section.)

You may or may not be aware the forum has recently been dogged by one off posters spamming in the adds section then never to be seen again.

We the MOD's have decided that thread approval will be required when a New thread in the Personal adds section is posted.
Once approval has been given you'll be free to sell your crap sorry nice shiny stuff all day long and people can post on that particular thread to their hearts content.

Hopefully this should reduce the amount of one off business posts spamming for free advertising and help keep UKD spam free.

    BK and the posseeee.

It all depends on what your selling and weather a mod is on line

As long as it takes, by the sound of it you're only on the forum to flog your stuff

As it says in the description of this sub-forum: "First time posters please introduce yourself in the New Member Introductions Forum before posting ads. "
Just one of those little courtesy things we have.

When one of the mod team log in (we do this on a voluntry basis and each log in as and when we fell like it, so no rota for who is on duty ;)) we will see any threads/posts waiting approval. If is is a ragular poster advertising surplus kit we simply activate then and there, however where it looks like a commercial post or someone just registering to advertise we may discuss the thread with other mods which will of course delay things.

    Hi Debbie

Nothing wrong with your add as it's a personal sale rather than a commercial post, also although you are relatively new here you are actually using (and contributing to) the site - which is what UKD is all about

Basically UKD members clearing excess gear for pocket money is fine, but registering just to advertise is frowned on and commercial adverts are totally banned except in the commercial section.
