Pula is OK, Rovinj is cracking and not too far away. I took a day off from diving and we went there for the day.

Not sure I could manage 2 weeks there, unless the bikini fish were out in force. Day out in Porec tomorrow.

Porec in the morning, Pula in the afternoon. Wouldn't want to spend more than a couple of hours in either to be honest. Porec is full of tourists and tatt shops, Pula is a bit grubby. It has got the Colosseum though at 100kn each, we gave it a miss. It also has a castle with a small museum inside. 20kn per person, interesting but not worth any more.

A kuna is kind of like French francs, around 10 to the pound (actually more like 8)

Home from Croatia now, laundry done and unpacked. Glad we got some good Tech 1 level dives in and glad to put my training to use. Also relieved that my skills hadn't gone too rusty.

Off to NDAC on Sunday to wash kit.

Motovun is worth a visit. Or just gorge on suckling pig and jugs of cold merlot.

Motovun was suggested to us, but our busy schedule meant we didn't make it. @becky9 did though.

We took the coast road (66?) to Rejika on the drive from Pula to Plitvice, some stunning views, massive drops and lack of guard rails made for an interesting, if somewhat prolonged, journey.

It's not too hard, depends how many people you want to take? There was only 4 of us and that was enough to get the boats out.

We also went to the annual wine festival in Gracisce. I enjoyed the wine and the atmosphere, the boys enjoyed the wine and the ahem scenery ;) x
