Back to Zenobia in the morning. B-)
You can join @nickb on the naughty step!
Lifted big bag of dishwasher salt - first decent lift since hand operation, nothing broke and no pain. Need to get into the gym to start getting fitness back but off to Liskeard for a few days tomorrow.
4 dives booked this weekend out of Dover
Two more good dives on Zenobia today. Mind the vis was rubbish - only about 10 metres. B-) :-P
Mainly my new drysuit is great, good fit, and dry. Also it dumps well and quietly, made me worry it wasn't dumping for a bit!
Also had a good day at Stoney, despite it being rammed, all car parks open and full.
To top it all I have a pink pass for next weekend too!
Great day today. 20m viz on the Kronprinz Wilhelm and Santi emailed me saying that they will be returning my E-Lite on Wednesday so I can send my piece of shit Ursuit back to Finland.
Pink pass, you say? Next weekend, you say? Interesting...
Something scary is going on.
Yesterday the wife says I can go diving two weekends in a row. Today I come home from work and she has bought me TWO bottles of whiskey, one of which is a bottle of Scapa!!!
What is she feeling guilty about?
Good tides next weekend. You should head for the sea. Forecast looking hopeful too.
Tempting, but I don't want to risk taking my home repaired drysuit on a boat. Puddle test first.
Cylinders are back from testing - O2 cylinder was sent off for a hydro & O2 clean, which was returned with a decent fill (200 bar) of O2 which I wasn't didn't ask and wasn't charged for!
But 600 litres of O2 isn't that expensive - 1p/litre?
My Ali80 @80% is 150 bar of O2 x 11 litres = 1650 litres, all bubbled away to the surface....
Still cheered me up - checked the pressure at home and analysed at my dive club. I was expecting it to be filled with air. Was just analysing out of curiosity before I drained it and refilled with O2.
Next time I'm marking up my AL80 with 18/45 and keeping my fingers crossed
Good thing you did test it, or things could have got nasty at the bottom...
So WCMUT, fired up my new sauna stove in situ. It turns out 20KW in 14cuFt is quite toasty. And 120kg of granite rocks hold a lot of heat. Should sort out the post dive aches.
Just need to pillage the local woodland for free fuel!
My gyppo fix held and I had a dry dive today.
