Finally got out on the bike again today. Only for an hour and a half, but it was good to be out again. I'm very lucky to be right on the edge of the Peak District, so can be on some great roads just 5 minutes from home. Makes up for being so far from the sea a bit.

After such a long lay off (6 months), i was a bit rusty at first, but within a few miles i was back into the swing of things and the last half hour was great. Some fantastic classic cars out in the Peak District too.

Update on hand - wound healed, stitches out, driving next week and, if I keep doing my exercises, back blowing bubbles in about six weeks. The only pain I've had was when the stitches were taken out, but I was a brave boy so the nurse gave me a lollipop.:whistling:

Arriving at the Ferry Inn in Scrabster this evening after a 13 hour drive cheered me up no end.

The fact that I won't be making the return journey for 7 weeks heartens me even more.

Spent the week away diving in the Sound of Mull. Excellent diving despite the poor weather during the beginning of the week. Well needed after the winter, I think I've found my diving mojo again :D

Anyone guess what wreck we'd just dived?

Great dive on the countess of erne today after our more intrepid dive plans were blown out. I broke 100 hours of logged dives. Little things and baby steps!

Too easy, got it in one.

Just 9,900 hours until we master the skill ;)

Had a great day diving on a platform in Wraysbury with @jps & @Tribal Chestnut in preparation for our forthcoming courses. Sure, it's not exciting 'proper' diving, but it will mean that we'll be much more able to do the exciting stuff later.

Also today @Tribal Chestnut showed us his shiny new Predator bespoke drysuit. Dennis (the maker/tailor) has done an amazing job with this suit adding all sorts of new design features, both aesthetic and functional. It looks really special.

I am confused. There seem to be words in that statement which seem incompatible.

You spent a day diving a platform? Did you put a few crayfish in your bag?

Yep, to my eyes it looked really good. And with new zipped covers on the Velcro pockets.

They're words I'm also not used to putting together in the same sentence: great & Wraysbury, but it's true. Vis was fine, temperature is increasing, we had the platform to ourselves for two hours. And, if you ask nicely, they do granary bread for the fried egg sarnies.

Yep, very happy with the suit. Knocks spots off my O3.

I'm jealous now. I had to slum it on the Cöln this morning and the Kronprinz Wilhem this afternoon.

    Not a platform in sight
