Glorious sunny day with dolphins in Scapa Flow
Managed an RMV of 14.24 today. Rather pleased with myself.
Bloody hell that’s good, I am pleased if I do 17
Same here - until today. I’m on holiday, but even so would normally average 17-20. First dive today was 17.27, but I made a real effort to breath super slowly and deeply for our second dive. Got to try and keep it up now.
What about at deco? Breathing rate drops right off as one does nothing for ages. I was working it out well under 10 (gauges aren’t that accurate).
Managed 13.58 & 13.38 today.
This is easy holiday diving, but, by way of comparison, I did comparable dives back in August and my best then was 16.44, with an average of probably 19.
The rest of the week will be interesting.
How do you measure it?
Put gas in/gas out into dive logging software (May i suggest Subsurface) and it works it out for you.
Need to see if it's possible to export from Shearwater (cloud) into Subsurface
Time, pressure (in bar) and average depth in metres.
Today was disappointing at 16.78 and 15.58.
Subsurface imported the data from my OSTC cR. Whilst most of the dives are CCR, so the SAC is less important, it had an outing on Chesil last week. It seems my SAC for that dive was 15.5l/min! That is somewhat less than it was back in my OC days although I suspect it went up a bit as I walked up the beach!
Saved backup from Shearwater Cloud. This imported into Subsurface, but alas the data's somewhat corrupted showing lots of ascents to the surface (which only happened once). A long dive - 2h22 - is shown as 3h10.
Would import from the Suunto backup.
Off to Norway next year. Woohoo!
Narvik or elsewhere?
We’ll be on MV Halton, so pretty flexible as to the diving.
