Just sorted out accommodation near Portree for five days after the Skye liveaboard next May - you wouldn't believe how booked up it is even now! Management & I will explore the island together, which is stunning. It seems to make the trip more real :geek: - we've signed up to Airbnb and have a flat in the attic of owners house looking out to a beach, with the possibility of seals and dolphins. I've got eight months to work out how the wing works - should be enough, I hope. :whistling:

This weekends club rib diving cost me £17.57 for two days diving

    B

There are now a couple of 1kg brown crabs and a few dozen scallops on the freezer, to top it off.

I bet there were other costs :)

For a change my boat costs were higher than yours this weekend as we chipped in £20 to cover for fuel the Saturday dive, although we did have 15m viz :)

No crustaceans for me, just a brill and a sack of scallops :)

Not quite today, as had to wait to tell a few people personally, but having spent 3 months studying for a job interview I have been successful and got a double promotion. To top it off we get to move to Ayr, a lovely place and perfect for us. Now the search for a new club begins!

Well done, if that's the correct term. Lots of lovely diving in Scotland.

Thanks! Yeah can't wait to get started, loads of great diving off the SW coast there. Might need to get a thicker undersuit, as I imagine its slightly different from the sunny south coast!

Currently in Mull and loving it. So nice to see real rock and not that chalky stuff from the South Coast. Scottish diving is excellent.

Also nice to finally have some leak-free dives.

I went to Stoney today, the weather was lovely, the vis was great. :)
    I didn't dive :depressed:
I bought a new cylinder to replace the ebay special that a) doesn't fit on my wing, b) has an almost indecipherable identity number and had a drink sitting in the sun outside the pub. :)
Didn't fill the cylinder as had forgotten my Nitrox card :depressed:
Never mind, I've got another cylinder in the garage that needs a fill and I'll get them both filled next week. :)

Can you not access an online card? I’ve down that as a fall-back at Stoney a few times.

The viz was great? Compared to what? I was there Saturday and it was 2-4m and greener than Kermit’s cock.

I had an ocean diver to sign off or I’d have gone south coast where it’s warm with real viz

First day diving done at Farnes and first saltwater dive out the way. Seals on top form on the first dive.

Got to the end of Swildon’s Hole in the Mendips today.

Didn’t enjoy the trip out though!

How many sumps did you swim through?

9 - bypassed 7, 8 and 11. Suppose I don’t really swim through 12 either, just in it until it started to get a bit too awkward - not the sort of place where I want to get stuck on my own.

So what's at the end of Swildon's? Does it get too narrow to continue? Where does all the water go?

Pretty much, though I turned in Sump 12 just as it was starting to tighten up.

Might go back at some point, but at least I have all my gear out of there now so don’t feel obligated.

Is that 12 sumps between the 13 chambers? Sounds like a progressive rock theme!
