When are you going? I'm taking the family across in February.

We're staying in playa blanca, but I've not booked any diving yet.

8/2 for five nights. What about you? Any of the family dive?

    We fly on the 17th.

My eldest has OW but no interest in diving. My youngest has done a couple of try dives and will probably do a couple more this time. She wants to do her OW next year, but needs to improve her swimming first.

Santa was running late today and went past at 7am - he tours the village on his sleigh on a low-loader with his elves giving out gifts to children and accepting tots. By the time they finish, they are well-oiled so they go to the pub to finish off.:wacky: It's the last time for us as we'll be in Cheshire next year.
Meanwhile, my SD course seems to be getting back into gear with missed lectures, revision and the exam by mid-January and off to Malta on 21 or 22nd.

    Happy Christmas to all

Looking forwards to trying out my new NW7 umbilical torch that Santa delivered. Hoping this will work with the GoPro-like camera.

Anyone else had a visit from Santa carrying dive kit?

I got SDS vouchers and I might treat myself to a LFM backup torch.

Great torch that. The wide angle beam works nice with the GP for lighting.

Interesting comparing it with my current 4Tec. The 'narrow' beam has a warmer light and doesn't seem as bright. Still, it's its performance in the water that counts.

Interesting , I haven't got a 4 tec to compare but the narrow beam I'd say is very white and the wider beam warmer.

    Hope you like it.

Keeping it for a few weeks until I'm happy/confident with the NW7 then someone else is interested in taking it!

Noticed also that the cable's much more flexible with the NW7 and there's no strain relief spring on the battery end connector. Wonder if the 5 degrees in Vobster tomorrow will make it a little less flexible.

Round our way, buoyancy bags would be more useful today.:whistling: Only problem that we had in US when we put chains on was that they wore and broke very quickly if you drove on tarmac. We then found that our hired 4X4 had snow and mud tyres and was stable as long as you drove sensibly. We went through the Mojave desert with cactus covered with snow, which was a novelty.

Just flown back from Hurghada (sad) and as of today you can now finally take electronics on the plane in hand luggage again.
