MV Agusta. I finally saved up enough for one and sold my 3 previous bikes (Buell, KR1 and TRX850) to fund. . I've had a few niggles (mainly electrical - well it is Italian!) but for the rest of the time is astonishingly good and hasn't missed a beat.

Unfortunately the 2 local (ish) dealers to me have closed and there are only a handful of UK dealers.

I would've loved the option to do this, but there were no options.

It was simply a case of 'we'll try to deliver, and if that doesn't work it'll be returned to the depot and only then can you select decide what to do next'. Most infuriating.

Anyway, all a bit of a storm in a grumpy middle-aged tea cup; it was successfully delivered.

Did a week's holiday in the South of France about 10 years ago with guided runs on sports bikes. The company tried to dissuade me from the MV as most customers hated it and they finished up riding it all day. I loved the handling, power delivery and, especially, the noise it made. The only downside for me was the danger of nipping your thumbs between the bars and tank when parking. Still miss two wheels, but as I only used them for getting to clients, no need now.

ABS on a motorbike. Hmm. Skid the back wheel is a 'fail' on the bike test. Put some black tape over the light and get it sorted at the next service. Probably the sensor electrics.

ABS on a motorcycle makes perfect sense - arguably more so than on cars.

But I have custom settings for traction control, throttle response etc and only enable ABS when using rain mode.

    You need a rebreather.

You need to go somewhere warmer with clearer water. Malta's good at this time of year, I believe - 26 degrees, sun, with a bit of breeze forecast. Off on Sunday.:joyful:

    Oh if only.

If only the boats could pick you up out of rough water without the chance of the lift/boat crashing on your head.

I haven't lost a dive yet that's the fault of the unit. I've canned a couple that just didn't feel "right", but that's me not AP.

Scimitar is going to the M2 Saturday if you fancy salty diving. Weather looks ok can't vouch for the vis. I'll be crawling around in the dark whatever.

It will be absolutely shit. Vis on the M2 is always atrocious after bad weather.

Arrrrrrgggghhhhh we're never going to get to dive in salt this year....

Any ideas if Swanage will be better on Sunday? Even diving out of Portland?

Oo that was a rite of passage :)

The Puch Maxi vs the FS1E turned into the BSAC Bantam vs the Tiger Cub :)

I had both of those as a sixteen year old. Great fun and many crashes!

I had to make do with a TS50ER with a 65cc big bore kit and Fresco exhaust.

Yeah, the season started well and then seemed to get a bit broken. I had five days booked for this week and did zero. My tally is down on last year and this year I doubt I'll achieve the hundred dives this year. Surely you've managed some few sea dives this year? Perhaps you should just book more or jump on spaces whenever the weather is good?
Looks like we are out of Weymouth tomorrow and will be heading a little way offshore in search of better viz.

There is a space from Portland on Sunday.
