Greetings and salutations fellow divers. I just wanted to try and spread the word of Diversnight over to the UK to see if we next year could get some registrations from there.

Diversnight is a world-wide night-dive that takes place on the first thursday of november each year. The time of the dive is made from the year, and it is the local time to each country. In 2013 it was at 20:13 and now in 2014 it was at 20:14, see the pattern?

Feel free to have a look at http://diversnight.com/home/about for more information :D.
If this is out of line, feel free to delete this post :D

Over here it's dark by 17:00 in November (it's 17:10 here and as I look out of the window it's like the black hole of Calcutta). And the vis is crap.

I reckon this is a Aussie or Kiwi wind up:)

Well, it is pretty dark in Norway as well in november. This is why it's defined as a night dive ;). In norway, the water becomes more clear towards the winter and we can get 20-30m visibility easy, depending on the flashlight ;)

Should have called it Jacques Night, like Yuris Night. We could all parade around in red beanie hats, smoking pipes..... oh shit we do that anyway ;) x
