Hi. Unfortunately due to a health issue, I'm currently on an enforced sabbatical from diving, so I'm going to miss out on my first trip to Scapa. This means there is a spare space aboard MV Halton on 29th Sept until 4th Oct. There are a couple of members of this forum already booked on the trip.

The cost is £600 which includes accommodation on the boat and half board (breakfast and lunch). Im open to sensible offers. If you're interested drop me a message and I'll put you in touch with the organiser.

    Thanks.
    Tim.

Would have been tempting, but we are in Malta.

So sorry to hear that Tim. Hope it's just temporary.

Thanks, wibble. Just waiting on the NHS for a date, but it looks like no diving for the rest of this year. I WILL be back as soon as I'm sorted tho.

If only I had 600 quid spare. And some holiday left. And some dive kit. Oh... :(

Get better and get back diving but don't rush into it.

I'm sure we could source all the dive kit, although you'd be blowing bubbles. It is the centennial year after all

The dive kit is the easy part...

I've got a load of dive kit sat here not being used, cant help with the time or cash though. I'm short of both of those things myself.

    Thanks for the comments, btw.

I didn't let on to @Doomanic that I'm on that trip - imagine seeing the surprise on his face if he rocked up to see me on the boat :smuggrin

I'm still debating with the (non-diving) wife about bringing her up to Scapa for that week and us staying in Stromness/wherever.

I do hope you sell the space @splinter -- it's a wonderful opportunity to dive in a unique location which doesn't require guru level dive skills, especially as most diving's well in the recreational range.

You've just made it much harder to sell... :woot:
