replacing batteries in suunto transmitter / pods (post-recall)

    Hi all,

    I'm sure a number of you will have suunto transmitters or pods and will have had them 'upgraded' in their product recall with the newer outer casing with the little white circle on it.

    Back before the product recall, you could buy battery kits where each kit had a replacement casing. Since the product recall, are you still supposed to replace the casing each time, and can you get kits with the 'upgraded' version, or do you simply replace the o-ring (and potentially use silicone grease supplied in some online kits)? Or am I 'supposed' to get the batteries replaced in a service centre each time now?

    The suunto Q&As and online info all seem a bit vague!
