I think I'll stick to solo diving rather than diving with someone who might donate a DV from their slobbering chops....
But solo diving's dangerous! So looking forwards to some sea diving when the sea opens up again. Must be quite an issue for novices sharing their club kit. On a serious note, what kind of antiseptic would one use to wash out mouthpieces?
Milton would seem a sensible choice but there are others like Virkon, Trigene and pretty much and rebreather disinfectant (I don't know all the names they are sold under).
AP issued an advisory that Chemgene has been deemed effective at removing COV from RB lungs etc, so that would suggest its a suitable item for sanitising regs. However, I can't imagine anyone carrying a spray bottle underwater, just in case of an OOG event!
Indeed. The instructions mention the dllution required for biohazard! This virus may be around for a long time so protocols might need to change.
Thankfully there'll be a vaccine along sometime soon. OK, estimated up to 18 months. Hopefully. But looks like diving's off limits
