What sort of diving do you do in the North of Spain? What depth? Wrecks or reefs? Recommendations for visiting divers?

    Welcome:)

I have never dove in Malaga. I was reading some spanish dive forums.
People from Malaga usually go to "La Herradura" in Granada for diving.

There is a club that it is recommended in Malaga city but mainly they dive in "Parque Natural Marro-Cerro gordo"

    http://naturadive.com/

In Nerja, a town not far from Malaga.

    http://nerjadiving.com/

I don´t know anything about which dive is the best and depth.

if you had a car available, i´would rather go to "La Herradura", it´s just 50min by car. It´s one of the best places in Spain.

It´s quite far from Malaga, he has some nearer.

In Spain there are several top dive places, some of them are protected.

    -Islas Medas - Gerona
    -Islas Cies - Pontevedra
    -Cabo de Palos - Murcia
    -El Hierro - Islas canarias
    -La Herradura - Granada
    -Gran canaria - Islas canarias

    Those places AOWD recommended.
Usually OWD must hire a divemaster to go with him=> really expensive.

In Cabo de palos, you need an special certificate to dive in the protected area. It cost around 30€.
Instructor or divemaster goes with you an check your dive.I hate those kind of things. Usually logbook sometimes is required.
