I travelled down to dive Dorothea Quarry yesterday to find locked gates at either end of the quarry entrance . The new metal gates were chained and padlocked ?
Can anyone give me any information on when , why they done this please ??

New owners apparently - they fitted the gates a few weeks ago, and locked them recently. There's been a lot of talk on the facebook group about it, and some plans to set up a "technical" diving club to allow members to dive there (with toilets, gate staff etc!). The General cynical consensus says that nothing will happen about the club, the gates will get nicked for scrap in a few weeks / months and diving will carry on as before.

And a long thread on another Dive Forum.
