It's that time of year. The weather's cold, but the sea's lovely. Who's planning what for this year? Any major milestones? Holidays? Courses?

I'm up to Scapa this year in May and October with two outfits. Will be my first time up there and very much looking forwards to it.

Doing another caving course in March along with some sidemount coaching. So that'll make caving more interesting.

Aside from that, have a bunch of other dives booked up on the south coast with the usual outfits. Nice.

Not sure if this is the year of the box. Lot of money to invest and will also mean most of the year dedicated to building hours. Still, if the opportunity arose...

I have a trip planned to Eyemouth / St Abbs, so I'm hoping to see some seals there.

Finish off DL, which means I need to organise a trip.

Seems like ‘finish off DL’ is quite a theme!

Maybe I should have added that too....

I’ve got absolutely nothing planned ! Think it’s gonna be a wait and see what comes up year. Got some courses to run in Feb / March so that’ll keep me soggy.

The sea wasn't that lovely on Sunday on the Alex Van Opstal. The lights went out at 15m and there was about 1m viz on the bottom. It is quite warm, but that's about all it had going for it.

Oban in Feb and Nov, and Scapa in oct are the only trips booked. There'll be plenty of trips out of Scarborough on the club boat this summer and hopefully should be doing boat handling and working towards diver cox as well.

Plus whatever else crops up.in the meantime.

We had slightly better viz on the Banks (2-3m) on Monday and it has remained calm and seems to be clearing. We are planning to head out again on Saturday :)

Got two trips to Cornwall booked in June and September, staying in st Ives and diving at Porthkerris, would like to do advanced nitrox and deco procedures at some point this year,
Other then that just as much diving as my work, and Missis will allow.
Would like to do the M2 and some the east side of Brighton.

No trips planned atm as the contract at work is looking uncertain. Going to do the Rescue diver course this year regardless.

They had 3-4m in Bally bay apparently, almost making me wish I'd got in. Mind you, their previous estimates on the Alex viz were more optimistic than mine.

Good course. Gets you thinking in a different way. Lots of first aid training which is good for when the weather's rubbish.

Hope the contract sorts itself out.
