I'm an active dive since joining the BSAC British Sub Aqua Club) in 1982, progressing in the 1990’s into technical, Nitrox and TriMix, embracing the benefits of DIR practices and procedures and in 2007 discovered the enormous advantages of rebreather diving on the Megalodon CCR.
- IT Project Manager and Diving Instructor
I enjoy a huge range of diving, from training dives with novice divers in shallow waters, to deep wreck penetration and cave dives, in both warm and colder UK & Northern European waters; teaching diving from novice to rebreather and am the Training Officer for Ifield Divers as well as being a CMAS, BSAC and ITDA (International Technical Diving Agency) instructor.
My diving of diving interests and knowledge including Underwater Photography, Overhead Environment (wreck & cave), Marine Archaeology, Decompression Theory and Advanced Dive Planning and Equipment (design, choice, use and maintenance) and First Aid. If there’s one area I'm missing it is marine biology, where I've only a ‘working knowledge’.
I own, operate and maintain a Bauer compressor and gas blending systems and also teach Nitrox and advanced gas blending.
My primary dives are on the wrecks of the English Channel from our club boat out of Brighton, but I also dive many other locations around the UK and also the Egyptian Red Sea, Spain, Canary Islands, Florida, the Caribbean, Australia, Thailand and the Philippines, and maintains working links to several dive centres.
My main income is as an IT Project Manager and I also enjoy motorcycling, cycling and photography.
