Don't keep reeipts
I've got most of the receipts from when I started diving with PADI and S&O with the exception of air-fills, camera, housing, strobe, fuel, dive site entry fees, overnight fees and a few odds & ends. I made the mistake of adding them up this morning, gulp, £10,500 so far. I wish I hadn't added them up.

Then I divided the cost into the number of hours I've spent underwater, it comes to about £150 per hour. I need to do more diving to bring my hourly costs down (and not buy more toys).

God bless George Bush and America.

RE: Don't keep reeipts
Was this just your kit or Bones's as well?

If you will buy solid gold weight and caviar & quails egg rolls at Stoney what do you expect?

Ps Way too much time on your hands...Smile

RE: Don't keep reeipts
Yep, it's bound to get expensive when you take this sort of gear on dive trips...

RE: Don't keep reeipts
I should have explained it better, that was for 2 sets of kit and training up my current standard (that'll be crap then).

I should have split Bones' and my kit then the price per hour would not have been so great (and less painful), on the other hand Bones' £ per hour underwater would probably have been greater than mine. On second thoughts I've not spent as much on her as I have on myself so her cost might be less, but she's done fewer dives than I have, oh I don't know, maybe a better analysis is in order. Stop picking on me, I'm tired.

God bless George Bush and America.

Polly, one has standards to maintain, just because I was roughing it doesn't mean I have to live rough.

£10,500? Wow! I'd like to know more about those "odds and ends"!
