Woody Wrote:Didnt want to sound off by suggesting a sealed bid, maybe just a fair way as both posts were up once I returned to the thread? As Ian had the first offer, it's up to you. I would only go for it if it comes with a tray and arm and Ian refuses it. Erm... What? |

RE: underwater photography
Just had some unexpected expenditure and really got my eye on the Oly strobe, so I'll give it a miss.
Whoever gets it, enjoy! Ian |

RE: underwater photography
Yep! some of this has gone beyond my original post, but that's normal on forums! I think we have enough info now to go ahead, start with a decent compact in a housing, and then progress...just like we have at home by progressing from compacts to digital slr. |

Sorry Gongoozler, hope you get what you want.
A site I've just ordered all my kit from in NY USA (taking the risk of duty tax, but still saving a lot) The site is http://www.bhphotovideo.com ![]() Check my profile bio for my dive history http://www.scubysnaps.co.uk |

RE: underwater photography
The most important thing to remember is not to get to hung up on which camera to buy you could spend an eternity looking into it. If you have found a camera that meets your daughters needs then go for it. The whole idea is to have fun if she finds she out grows the set up she can look at upgrading in a few years.

RE: underwater photography
UPS just attempted to deliver mine with a COD for the duty of £195!!!! Jeez!
In total I saved £170 by ordering it on a price from Cameras Underwater of £1180, not much of a saving really of only about 15%. I still made a saving tho, and you never know how much until you try ![]() ....I forgot to add on p&p to the UK CU stuff, so it may be 20%, not 15% ![]() Check my profile bio for my dive history http://www.scubysnaps.co.uk |
